One of the most common horror stories in web design goes like this: a client signs for a "website build," gets a homepage, and is then quoted extra for every additional page, every revision, every plugin, every hour of support. By the time the site launches, the bill is double the original quote.

That shouldn't happen. And the way to prevent it is knowing exactly what should be included before you sign anything.

What's included in a GhostRoutine build

Our $10,000 fixed price covers the full scope of building a professional startup marketing website. Here's what that means in practice:

Strategy and discovery

A 60-minute strategy call, competitive review, and a written brief. We need to understand your business, your audience, and what success looks like before we design anything. This isn't a nice-to-have — it's how good sites get built.

Custom design

Original visual design — not a theme, not a template. High-fidelity mockups of every page, built around your brand. Two rounds of revisions included. You see everything before we touch code.

Full build

Every page designed becomes a page built. Clean, semantic code. Mobile-first — every element is tested on phone, tablet, and desktop. Performance-optimised so your site loads fast (which matters for SEO and for the impression it makes).

Basic SEO setup

Meta titles and descriptions, XML sitemap, proper heading structure, Google Search Console submission. We give you the foundation. Growing your organic traffic from there is an ongoing effort — we won't pretend a website build alone does that work.

Analytics configuration

Google Analytics 4 installed and configured. You'll be able to see where visitors come from, what pages they spend time on, and where they drop off from day one.

Launch and handover

We handle DNS configuration, final testing across browsers, and a walkthrough session so you know how to update your own site. You own everything — the code, the domain, the hosting account.

You own everything. Some agencies retain ownership of your site or lock you into their hosting. With GhostRoutine, every deliverable is yours. If you ever want to move to a different provider or manage the site yourself, you can.

What isn't included — and why we say so upfront

Being clear about what's not in scope is just as important as what is. The following are either add-ons or separate engagements:

None of these are surprises if we've scoped the project properly. And we always do.

Ask this before you sign anything

"Can you give me a line-by-line breakdown of what's included in the quoted price, and a list of what's explicitly excluded?" Any reputable agency should be able to answer this immediately.
